Novozymes
Novozymes core business is industrial enzymes, microorganisms and biopolymers. Novozymes is based on bio innovation. This means that they apply industrial biotechnology to challenge and complement traditional thinking and applications in order to identify sustainable solutions for forward-looking companies. Novozymes employs in-house projects, strategic alliances and acquisitions to enter new business areas.
Novozymes A/S in Denmark involved SUPREN as independent consultant in to support an process development project.
EVONIK
Evonik is one of the world’s leading specialty chemicals companies. Its activities focus on the key megatrends health, nutrition, resource efficiency and globalization.
SUPREN is collaborating with EVONIK Industries AG, Germany, on process innovations related to resource and energy efficient reactions for the chemical industry.
Absorption Global Standard
Standardization of mass transfer measurements in absorption and desorption is the goal of the 1st project executed by the “Absorption Global Standard“ task force. This project is funded by the German IGF (contract: 17116 N).
SUPREN is one of the non-academic project partners, collaborating with German researchers at the Technical University of Dortmund as well as of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
IRENA Technology Roadmap Project
The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is an intergovernmental organization dedicated to renewable energy. In accordance with its Statute, IRENA’s objective is to “promote the widespread and increased adoption and the sustainable use of all forms of renewable energy”. This concerns all forms of energy produced from renewable sources in a sustainable manner, which include bioenergy, geothermal energy, hydropower, ocean, solar, and wind energy.
SUPREN supports the IRENA Innovation and Technology Centre (IITC), located in Germany, in developing a technology roadmap on renewables in manufacturing:
‘Renewables for a New Product Mix – A Roadmap to 2050’.
