Public transport
Plane
Two airports are suited in case you travel by plane:
Düsseldorf International Airport (DUS) www.duesseldorf-international.de
The SkyTrain cabin railway from the terminals to the airport railway station ‘Düsseldorf Flughafen’ and switch local train (S-Bahn) S1 direction Dortmund and leave at station ‘Dortmund Universität’, some stops prior to the central station. See Option #2 below how to finalize the trip.

Airport Express to/from Dortmund Central Station
A non-stop shuttle-bus connects Dortmund Airport to the Central bus station in Dortmund (opposite the main railway station). The journey lasts 25 minutes and costs 6,50 Euros per passenger.
Train and bus
Dortmund central station (‘Hauptbahnhof’) is well connected from all directions. From the main station take the local train (S-Bahn) S1, final destination Solingen.
1. Option
Leave the train S1 at at station ‘Dortmund Dorstfeld’. Here switch to the bus no. 465 direction Dortmund-Oespel and exit the bus at the stop Joseph-von-Fraunhofer-Street in front of our building.
2. Option
Leave train S1 at station ‘Dortmund Universität’ (basement) and switch to SkyTrain cabin railway (H-Bahn, 1st floor) H1 www.h-bahn21.de until final destination ‘Technologiezentrum’. Turn left into Joseph-von-Fraunhofer-Street and have a final walk of 100 meter.

All local transport from Düsseldorf /or Dortmund to our office require just a single ticket ( www.vrr.de ) independent from the type of transport (local train, bus, metro etc.) The only exception is the Dortmund Airport express.
